Sometimes it's all about the food

I haven't really had time lately to do any sewing but I have been feeding my creativity in other ways. I've started putting food in the freezer for the winter. Since my own garden isn't quite producing yet I've started picking up local produce at the Farmer's Mkt. I also made flatbread today that turned out so delicious that the boys devoured it so I have to make more for dh to try. I did use fresh rosemary from the garden and some fresh garlic on 1/2 of it. Kids loved it with cream cheese and plain. I also made a chocolate pie totally from scratch the other day including the crust..yummy. And today I made my first batch of homemade ice cream from my new ice cream maker. (more on that to follow) Chocolate, chocolate chip.....heaven!

Hey there! Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. The dishcloth is one of the easiest patterns around, the first knitting project I ever did and works up pretty quickly. Go to http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/washcloths.html to get the pattern at the top of the page. It shows two colors used but I typically use only one or a multi colored piece.

I have found folks get a little confused when starting the pattern because they think they are going along one side to but really you are starting at one point. If you have any questions feel free to ask. love & prayers, Melissa

Hi Tina:

I know I am a couple of weeks behind in posting a comment - but I just drove by your house the other day and your purple flowers are amazing!

Keep up the blogging!

Melissa-thanks so much! Janet-thanks for the nice comment! We will have to get together soon. Denise, Thanks! I use Martha Stewart's grilled flatbread recipe and just added my own spin to it.
